Study visit of a professor and students from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences in Lima
On June 10, 2024, the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic organised a study visit for a group of students from the University of Applied Sciences in Peru, who came to Slovakia for a summer exchange programme organised by the Pan-European University in Bratislava. The informal meeting at the Court was part of a week-long educational programme prepared for the students and teachers by Associate Professor from the Pan-European University, Lilla Garayová.
The teachers and students were welcomed by the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, Pavol Naď, who acquainted them with the history of the Court and its internal organisation. He also introduced the most common agenda of the judges at the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic.
Apart from the students, the meeting was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, Luis García Corrochano M., who previously served as President of the Supreme Administrative Court of Republic of Peru. This created an opportunity to compare the system of administrative law in Republic of Peru and the Slovak Republic.
After the presentation, the President initiated a discussion with students, who were particularly interested in cases concerning the dissolution or suspension of a political party or, in which areas of administrative law the most judgments are issued.
