Judges and prosecutors from selected member states visited the Court
At the end of May, the judges of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic, headed by the President of the Court, received a delegation of seventeen judges and prosecutors from various member states of the European Union.
The informal meeting with the purpose to introduce the competences and activities of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic was held in a friendly spirit and turned into an enriching discussion. During the event, the issues concerning the administration of justice in the individual member states were discussed.
The members of the delegation visited the Slovak Republic as part of an exchange programme of prosecutors and judges, which is organised annually by the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). The aim of the exchange visit is to familiarise the participants with the legal and judicial system of the Slovak Republic.
The EJTN is a non-profit organisation which brings together national institutions exclusively responsible for the training of judges and prosecutors in the European Union. Its aim is to provide training programmes for members of the judiciary in Europe with a European focus.
The discussion with judges and prosecutors from Germany, France, Italy, Romania, Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Belgium was attended, in addition to the President of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic Pavel Naď, by judges of the local court Michal Matulník and Juraj Vačok.
